Welcome to Candid Social! This app is built by a hobbyist developer with a simple goal: to provide a space for authentic sharing with your real friends, without the noise of a global feed.

We only collect the essential information needed to make Candid Social work.

• User-Generated Content: We collect and store the images and videos you take and share through the Candid Social app.
• What We DO NOT Collect: We do not collect your GPS location data, we do not request access to your phone’s address book or contacts, and we currently do not use any hidden tracking or analytics software to monitor your behavior in the app. Users find friends strictly by searching for usernames.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used strictly to provide the Candid Social experience. We use your information to:

• Create and secure your account.
• Display your profile and posts to the friends you have accepted into your circle.
• Allow other users to search for your username so you can connect.

• Your Friends: Because there is no global feed, the photos and videos you post are only visible to the users you have accepted as friends within the app.
• Candid Development Team: The Candid Development Team may occasionally run in to user data while performing database changes or troubleshooting. This is to ensure Candid stays a great experience for all.
• Law Enforcement: We respect your privacy, however we will comply with legally binding requests for data from law enforcement agencies if required by law.

5. Children's Privacy

Candid Social is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we discover that a user under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete their account and data.

6. Data Deletion and Your Rights

You own your data. If you want to leave Candid Social, you can request the complete deletion of your account, profile data, and all uploaded photos/videos.
